Found in the Atlanta paper
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add beaten eggs, vanilla and baking powder.
Knead in enough sifted flour to make a dough stiff enough to roll out and cut in desired shapes.
Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 F until done and light brown in color.
Mix the above ingredients in large saucepan.
Bring to boil stirring constantly.
Boil for 90 seconds.
Remove from heat.
Add:
2 1/4 cup minute oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup raisins
Mix for 1 min.
Quickly drop by teaspoons on aluminum foil or wax paper.

12 oz vanilla wafers crushed
1/2 to 1 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/4 to 1/2 cup rum or bourbon. The artificial flavoring also works.
Mix all ingredients together.
Chill.
Shape into balls.
Dust with powdered sugar.
Instead of chilling, just shape right away.
Instead of (or with) powdered sugar, use cinnamon and sugar or even brown sugar.
