====== RPG ======

I would cite a game from this genre as the reason I got into the [[tech:start|Tech]] field. I don't remember the date, but I can clearly remember asking my mother to install [[wp>Ultima_8|Ultima 8]] on our [[wp>Intel_486|Intel 80486]]. I remember trying to fight evil, collecting magic trinkets and hoarding them all in a guard tower. The manual accompanying the game was really cool too. I've always enjoyed collecting game manuals and especially RPG manuals.

Ironically enough for a title that got me into this field, it did not receive great [[wp>Ultima_8#Development_and_reception|reviews]] from fans of the series.
