I’ve been a lot busier this week than I should have been. Stayed over at work trying to fix stuff, spent three days trying to get the color fixed on an Acer S211HLbd monitor and finally gave up and RMA’d it today. Very disappointing.
The good news is another Planar 1910M is on it’s way. The bad news is I wasted all of that time trying to tweak it when I should have known from the start it was a lost cause.
Oh well, live and learn I guess.
In other news, I haven’t opened up projects.whyaskwhy.org to the Internet at large yet. Maybe tomorrow, but most likely next week. I’ll try to stay more focused this time.
After getting distracted with other things including a job change, moving, gaming, etc, I’m once more working on software development. The project I’m really excited about is Synclosure. It’s been a long time coming, but I have made some progress with taking my modifications public.
I contacted Raphael Balimann and he was gracious enough to give his blessing to take over the code and name of the project.
Very cool. Thanks Raphael, I really appreciate it!
I want to quickly point out that I’m a student of programming, so please feel free to submit patches and report bugs. I’ll fix when able and where possible.
The Synclosure project (among others) will be hosted here:
I’m still in the process of getting everything setup, so I have it locked down while I iron out any (obvious) remaining issues with the setup. If all goes as planned, I should be able to open it to the public within a week. Maybe sooner if nothing comes up.
